CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and program CNC machines (lathes and milling machines) to produce precision components
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, process sheets, and work instructions to determine specifications
• Identify, select, and install proper tooling for various operations
• Calculate appropriate feeds and speeds for different materials including steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze
• Perform necessary quality inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Maintain equipment calibration and adhere to all safety protocols and lean manufacturing practices
• Participate in continuous improvement opportunities and promote a safe work culture

Requirements

• Proven manufacturing experience with proficiency in precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges)
• Machine Tool Operation certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of G-code and CAM programming software
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T standards
• Mathematical proficiency in geometry, trigonometry, fractions, and ratios
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to ITAR and UNNPI regulatory requirements
