About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, and program CNC machines (lathes and milling machines) to produce precision components
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, process sheets, and work instructions to determine specifications
- Identify, select, and install proper tooling for various operations
- Calculate appropriate feeds and speeds for different materials including steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze
- Perform necessary quality inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Maintain equipment calibration and adhere to all safety protocols and lean manufacturing practices
- Participate in continuous improvement opportunities and promote a safe work culture
Requirements
- Proven manufacturing experience with proficiency in precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges)
- Machine Tool Operation certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of G-code and CAM programming software
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T standards
- Mathematical proficiency in geometry, trigonometry, fractions, and ratios
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to ITAR and UNNPI regulatory requirements
