CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Setup, adjust, and operate CNC lathes and mills to manufacture mission-critical components
• Work from drawings, sketches, and specifications to complete various machining operations
• Edit CNC programs to manufacture parts according to blueprints and drawings
• Perform machine setups to achieve close tolerances, fitting, and alignment
• Conduct first-piece inspections and monitor work-in-progress using various measuring devices
• Maintain accurate records of time, part counts, and inspections
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines according to schedule
• Troubleshoot issues related to drawings, machining, tooling, and programming

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience as a machinist in a shop environment
• Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading
• Proven experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Fanuc Controls
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean area to 5S standards
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
