CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Perform routine machining operations on standardized parts using CNC lathe and mill machines
• Work from drawings, sketches, and specifications to complete various machining operations
• Perform machine setups to obtain close tolerances and ensure proper fitting and alignment
• Conduct first-piece inspections and work-in-progress inspections using various measuring devices
• Utilize Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) as specified on prints
• Maintain accurate records of time, part counts, and inspection results
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines according to the PM schedule
• Troubleshoot issues related to drawings, machining, tooling, and programming

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience as a CNC machinist
• Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading
• Trade school or on-the-job training proficiency
