CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and inspect detailed parts and tools using various machining equipment including mills, lathes, and drill presses
• Work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and process sheets using mathematical and geometrical calculations
• Write and prove out CNC programs
• Troubleshoot and diagnose processes to eliminate variability and improve throughput
• Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring tools
• Verify the quality and accuracy of all work produced
• Maintain strict adherence to shop and machine safety procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience with CNC and manual mill/lathe operations
• Experience working with stainless steels and high-temperature alloys
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday, 12:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mazak Turning Centers
• Experience with Thread Rolling
• Technical or Trade School education
• Proficiency with PC skills
• Experience operating a lift truck
