CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Plan, set up, and operate a variety of CNC and manual grinding and lathe machines
• Produce components according to engineering prints with a focus on safety and quality
• Inspect finished work and complete required inspection forms
• Perform preventative maintenance to maintain equipment functionality
• Report any errors, defective materials, or faulty equipment to leadership
• Handle materials, including loading and unloading, and maintain an organized 5S work area
• Collaborate with programmers to ensure machine efficiency and minimize idle time

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and the use of precision measuring devices
• Experience operating CNC and manual machines
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade school diploma or Associate degree
• Relevant experience gained through hands-on work in a manufacturing setting
