CNC Machine Qualifier/Inspector II

Responsibilities

• Assemble machine sub-components and install sub-assemblies into main assemblies
• Conduct machine qualification and inspection activities to ensure conformance to customer specifications
• Verify part conformance to blueprints and stock lists using measuring instruments, gauges, and micrometers
• Verify alignment and tolerance of moving parts using dial indicators and thickness gauges
• Install and connect pneumatic components and manage mechanical, hydraulic, and lubrication systems
• Set up machines to perform test jobs and verify machine capabilities and functioning
• Identify, document, and communicate build issues to engineering and assembly teams
• Use power tools, cranes, and various hand tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Complete Qualification and Inspection sheets for all machine cycles and safety requirements

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and diagrams
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with the machine build process
• Ability to set up and interpret measurement equipment (e.g., dial/electronic indications)
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with SAP or similar systems
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 4 years of related experience in machine assembly or inspection
