CNC Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, sanding, and bushing press
• Assist with machine setups, changeovers, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate machining
• Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and go-nogo gauges to verify product quality
• Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and interpret inspection data to confirm dimensional accuracy
• Maintain accurate records of production output, calibrations, and quality checks
• Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating CNC machinery (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and interpreting inspection results
• Basic mathematics skills (adding, subtracting, reading measurements)
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface navigation
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted and utilize team lifts for heavier loads
• Basic English language competency

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with TS16949, ISO14001, and ISO9001 quality systems
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices
• Experience making changes to CNC programs (G-code/M-code)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
