CNC Lathe Machinist

Responsibilities

• Produce aerospace parts in a timely manner according to blueprints, sketches, and work orders with minimal supervision
• Inspect and measure parts using general measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers, and make necessary machine offset adjustments
• Plan and perform complex lathe operations requiring complicated setups or high degrees of accuracy
• Determine proper feeds, speeds, tooling, and operation sequences using precision measuring instruments
• Maintain a workable supply of perishable tools and supply charts of Q1 functions
• Provide operational support to the production team as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 10+ years of experience operating CNC lathes
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5-2009 standards
• Proficiency with HAAS ST30 and Mori Lather NLX2000/500 machines
• Deep understanding of general machining practices, including cutting tool nomenclature, speed calculations, and material composition

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience specifically within the aerospace industry
• Forklift certification
