CNC Cutting Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC plasma, laser, and/or torch cutting equipment to process metal components according to engineering specifications
• Load, position, and secure metal sheets or parts using proper material-handling methods
• Download and run CNC programs, making minor parameter adjustments and selecting appropriate consumables
• Inspect completed parts using precision measuring and inspection tools to verify conformance to prints and quality standards
• Perform secondary operations including de-burring, de-slagging, grinding, or part finishing
• Monitor machine operation and perform minor preventive maintenance while maintaining a safe and organized workstation
• Follow all safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements

Requirements

• Previous experience or training operating CNC cutting equipment (plasma, laser, or torch)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
• Working knowledge of CNC machine controls and basic computer skills
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools
• Physical stamina to meet the demands of an industrial environment, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending
