CNA Instructor

Responsibilities

• Maintain high degree of discipline within the classroom
• Prepare for classroom instruction and identify appropriate materials
• Ensure equipment is in good working condition
• Document student progress on training Achievement Records (E-TAR)
• Record daily attendance in CIS
• Design instruction to meet individual student needs
• Ensure completion of CTT Primary Credentials and trade completion targets
• Seek input from industry advisors

Requirements

• Current Texas LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) license
• One to two years of experience in long-term care
• Professional CNA experience
• Minimum of Associates Degree
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulations
• Ability to present information effectively to students and peers
• Proficiency with mathematical concepts including probability and statistics

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
