CNA Instructor

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate classroom lectures, discussions, and hands-on laboratory skill sessions covering essential nursing assistant competencies
• Provide students with career technical training instruction, direction and assistance
• Deliver targeted test preparation strategies, practice exams, and skill mock-ups to maximize certification passing rates
• Provide assistance in student progress projection, recordkeeping, credentialing, and course completion
• Participate on student evaluation panels and prepare required documentation using CIS systems
• Develop and monitor work-based training sites in coordination with WBL staff
• Review and audit assigned areas for contractual compliance and effectiveness

Requirements

• Valid and active RN license in good standing
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, including at least one year in a long-term care facility
• One of the following: completion of a 3-semester credit course on adult teaching, a 40-hour continuing education program in adult teaching, one year of adult teaching experience, or one year of experience supervising nursing assistants
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals and specialized populations
