CMP Equipment Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist in planned and unplanned tool maintenance and repair
• Perform root cause troubleshooting and fault finding to the component level
• Support ongoing tool development, enhancement, and efficiency improvements
• Work alongside engineering tool owners on hands-on hardware investigations
• Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and drawings to resolve hardware issues
• Propose projects to reduce costs and increase tool availability

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience using various hand tools
• Ability to wear required cleanroom PPE, including full-body jumpsuits, masks, and hoods
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills for accurate data entry
• Ability to stand and walk continuously for a 12-hour shift
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 pounds
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Working toward an associate degree or formal training in a maintenance or mechanical field
• Strong hands-on maintenance and repair background
• Previous experience in a cleanroom or semiconductor factory environment, preferably CMP
• Familiarity with analytical troubleshooting methods such as Root Cause Analysis or 5-Why
