CMM Laboratory Technician III

Responsibilities

• Inspect components and assemblies using CMM equipment, existing programs, and fixtures
• Create new CMM programs for new projects and shafts as needed
• Perform technical layouts using height gages, micrometers, calipers, and other lab equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to establish coordinate systems
• Manage the gage calibration system, including scheduling and data entry
• Lead independently within the dimensional and metallurgical labs
• Maintain 5S standards for equipment and workstations
• Communicate measurement results and job status to requestors and oncoming shifts

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Minimum of 2 years of related quality or inspection experience
• Minimum of 1 year of CMM programming experience
• Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• CMM programming certifications
• Ability to perform shop-level mathematical calculations

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college education preferred
