CMM Gage Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform CMM inspections and quality gage calibrations on a regular schedule
• Create, verify, and maintain CMM programs
• Maintain the GageTrak system and ensure lab cleanliness
• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on gauges throughout the plant
• Calibrate handheld gauges and interpret layout reports to determine machine adjustments
• Ensure conformance to quality standards and TS-16949 requirements
• Execute special projects and inspections as requested by supervisors

Requirements

• At least 2 years of CMM programming experience
• Legal authorization to work in the US (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee)
• Ability to stand for 10 hours a day and perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, and twisting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
• Ability to work around a moving assembly line

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of verifiable experience in a manufacturing lab environment
• Knowledge of Adcole, surface finish, Tally Round measuring equipment, or Optical comparators
• Experience with machining, gage calibration, or DC tool operation
• Computer literacy
