CMC Project Leader

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing campaigns for biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients
• Lead project teams consisting of internal and external members to drive R&D and operational success
• Act as the business lead for collaborations, including contract negotiation, business proposals, and forecasting
• Ensure project scope is maintained and deliverables are met according to customer agreements
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal cross-functional teams such as Sales, QC, QA, Logistics, and Production
• Represent the company to senior and executive leadership of client organizations
• Monitor and report accurate project data using CRM and document exchange platforms
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the scope of existing client collaborations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or similar field)
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the (bio-)pharma, CDMO, or chemical industry
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role or CMC project management
• Strong knowledge of GMP and clinical development phases
• Knowledge of CMC documents related to IND and NDA filings and API development
• Familiarity with drug substance characterization analysis (e.g., HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS)
• Proficiency with MS Office, CRM (Salesforce), and ERP (SAP) systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant scientific field
• PMP certification or MBA
• Experience working with both small biotech and large pharmaceutical customers
• Understanding of financial aspects of customer accounts, including payment terms and forecasting
