CMC Project Leader

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing campaigns for biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients.
• Lead project teams consisting of internal and external members to drive R&D and operational success.
• Act as the business lead for collaborations, including contract negotiation, business proposals, and forecasting.
• Ensure project deliverables are met on time and within the defined scope of customer agreements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal cross-functional teams such as Sales, QC, QA, Logistics, and Production.
• Represent the company to senior and executive leadership of client organizations.
• Report accurate project data using CRM and document exchange platforms like Salesforce and Teams.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the scope of existing collaborations to generate additional business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a similar field).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the (bio-)pharma, CDMO, or chemical industry.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role or CMC project management.
• Solid understanding of GMP and clinical development phases/requirements.
• Familiarity with drug substance characterization analysis (e.g., HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS).
• Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and SAP.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• MBA or similar advanced business certification.
• Experience managing accounts for both small biotech and large pharmaceutical companies.
• Knowledge of CMC documentation related to IND and NDA filings.
