CloudOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and monitor AWS infrastructure following industry best practices
• Utilize AI-based tools for Infrastructure as Code development
• Engineer self-service and automated solutions for application development teams
• Build and pilot a next-generation application platform centered around Kubernetes
• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Apply secure by design and secure by default patterns to AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure
• Act as a trusted partner for application development teams regarding cloud technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience
• 3+ years of professional experience
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash
• Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes in a production environment
• Experience working with Linux operating systems and containers

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering
• Experience managing AWS infrastructure with Terraform or other IaC tools
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like New Relic, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Loki, or Grafana
• Experience using AI agents like GitHub Copilot for development
• Practical experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka
• Experience with AWS Lambda and Step Functions
• Background in SRE, operations, or system administration
