Cloud System Administrator 2

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain cloud environments, including compute, storage, networking, and identity services
• Provision, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud resources to ensure high availability and performance
• Implement and manage access controls, including IAM roles, RBAC, MFA, and privileged access management
• Support cloud security best practices, including patching, vulnerability remediation, logging, and incident response
• Maintain system documentation, configuration baselines, and change management processes
• Support backup, recovery, and continuity operations for cloud-hosted systems
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, network, and engineering teams to support system integration and modernization efforts

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
• 7 years of experience with RedHat/CentOS command line
• 7 years of experience with Linux/Unix networking (nmap, tcpdump, firewalls)
• 7 years of experience with RedHat/CentOS kickstart/provisioning
• 2+ years of experience with RedHat DNS Administration (DNS, hosts files, DHCP)
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
• 8570 IAT Level I or higher (preferably Security+)
• One of the following: AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, CDP Administrator - Private Cloud Base, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Strong background in troubleshooting operational issues in a Linux environment
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, Python, and Bash

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Prometheus, JIRA, HDFS, Virtualization, Salt/Ansible, Grafana, Openstack, and AWS
