Responsibilities

• Secure and continuously improve the AWS environment across managed and self-managed services
• Deploy, configure, and operate security tooling on cloud infrastructure
• Write and maintain Terraform/IaC to roll out security controls and configuration changes
• Investigate security events and incidents, assessing severity and driving mitigations
• Improve incident response readiness through playbooks, alert quality, and automation
• Evaluate and roll out new security capabilities such as SIEM/SOAR and EDR improvements
• Build security platform foundations to enable developer velocity
• Participate in a security on-call rotation

Requirements

• Deep experience with AWS and securing production cloud environments
• Strong security operations and incident response experience
• Proficiency with EDR and SIEM-style tooling
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code mindset, specifically with Terraform
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
• Pragmatic approach to balancing risk reduction with developer velocity
• Comfortable using AI as a tool for productivity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-signal detection engineering
• Ability to build security foundations that are easily consumable by engineering teams
