Cloud Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Improve and maintain cloud security solutions for monitoring, detection, vulnerability remediation, and incident response
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide solutions that drive business goals
• Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to security incidents
• Follow DevSecOps methodologies by automating security and shifting security left
• Play an active role in maintaining compliant infrastructure and policies
• Review and recommend improvements to operational processes and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Software Engineering
• Experience with one or more cloud service providers, preferably AWS
• Deep understanding of cloud service architecture with an emphasis on security
• Hands-on experience with logging and monitoring of cloud infrastructure
• Experience with IaC, CI/CD, and other DevOps tooling
• Ability to respond to security incidents in a timely and efficient manner
• Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud or Security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer, CKS, CCSP, or CISSP)
• Experience moving from a security analyst role into security engineering
• Experience with pipeline creation and implementing automated security tools
