Cloud Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design cloud and platform security architecture with a focus on Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and automated security guardrails.
• Implement cloud security controls and tools such as EDR, WAF, CNAPP/CSPM, and vulnerability management using automation rather than manual operations.
• Develop and maintain Terraform code for secure landing zones, Kubernetes platforms, IAM, and cloud-native firewall policies.
• Partner with application and platform teams to embed security directly into cloud-native and Kubernetes workloads.
• Support secure cloud adoption and workload transitions through the creation of reusable and automated security blueprints.
• Maintain comprehensive cloud security policies and documentation aligned with IaC-driven implementations.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Cloud Security or a closely related field.
• Expertise in Kubernetes security hardening using CIS benchmarks, secrets management, and policy enforcement tools.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining Terraform modules for secure cloud landing zones and automated security controls.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes security controls including RBAC, Network Policies, and Pod Security Standards.
• Experience integrating IaC security tools (e.g., Checkov, TFSec) into CI/CD pipelines and enforcing policy-as-code using OPA or Sentinel.
• Proficiency with cloud-native firewalls and third-party security products such as Checkpoint or Palo Alto.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar) and core concepts including networking, IAM, and hybrid cloud architectures.
