Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DoD IL-2/4/5, RMF, and SCCA requirements
  • Manage IAM, RBAC, JIT access, and Zero Trust Architecture principles
  • Deploy and optimize cloud-native security tools including Microsoft Defender, Azure Sentinel, and SIEM platforms
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing simulations, and security configuration reviews
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), SAR, and POA&M
  • Respond to security incidents and perform root-cause analysis
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate controls using IaC

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or 5+ years equivalent experience
  • 5–9+ years in cloud security engineering with hands-on work in AWS GovCloud, Azure, or GCP
  • Deep knowledge of IAM, encryption, network security, and cloud-native security services
  • Proficiency with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and automation tools like Terraform and Python
  • Experience with compliance frameworks including NIST, FedRAMP, and RMF
  • Understanding of container and Kubernetes security

Preferred Qualifications

  • CISSP certification
  • AWS Certified Security-Specialty or Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance & Identity
  • Security+, CEH, or CSSP related certifications (CySA+, GCIH)
