Cloud Security Architect

Responsibilities

• Define and govern secure cloud security architectures by selecting DoD SRG- and FedRAMP-compliant services.
• Develop security architectures, control frameworks, and technical patterns aligned with DISA, DoD, and FedRAMP requirements.
• Establish and mature Zero Trust security patterns across cloud environments, including identity, access, and data protection.
• Provide architectural direction for DevSecOps integration, vulnerability assessment, and secure cloud deployment.
• Collaborate with IT, cloud engineering, and program teams to ensure architectures meet strict mission requirements.
• Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews, preparing findings for leadership.
• Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience developing, implementing, or managing cloud environments, specifically in government or defense settings.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Expert knowledge of cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Deep understanding of DoD SRG, FedRAMP, DISA requirements, and Zero Trust principles.
• Strong ability to analyze security systems, identify weaknesses, and design practical controls to reduce risk.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related technical field.
• Professional cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or similar security certifications.
• Experience working directly with DevSecOps and cloud engineering teams in a federal environment.
