Cloud Platform Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provision, deploy, and operate AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services in production environments
• Execute deployments using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Manage cloud services across compute, networking, storage, identity, and monitoring layers
• Monitor environments and respond to alerts, incidents, and service degradation to ensure high uptime
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes
• Collaborate with product engineering and CloudOps teams to ensure smooth application deployments
• Develop automation and scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and deployment procedures
• Support incident response rotations and continuous improvement of platform reliability

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud/platform operations or production support
• Deep expertise in AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, and Load Balancing
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
• Strong skills in monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
