Cloud Platform Administrator

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud platform services supporting Kubernetes, containers, ingress, and storage integration
• Build and sustain reusable deployment patterns for COTS, Open Source, and customized applications
• Develop automation for platform provisioning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle support
• Manage cluster lifecycle activities including node management, add-on management, and capacity planning
• Support shared platform services such as Azure Kubernetes Service, OpenShift, or Tanzu
• Partner with infrastructure and application teams to onboard services onto the platform
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform hosting, connectivity, and integration issues
• Improve deployment consistency using Helm-based configuration, Git-based workflows, and Infrastructure as Code
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• 3+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• 3+ years of experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD
• 3+ years of experience with cloud, containerization, and automation
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience hosting enterprise COTS/OSS applications on Kubernetes
• Experience with Helm charts, operators, and container image lifecycle management
• Experience with persistent storage integration and backup/recovery
• Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Azure Solutions Architect
