Cloud Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of critical products from on-premises to AWS, taking full operational ownership
• Own production AWS infrastructure, ensuring uptime, stability, and high operational standards
• Establish and manage monitoring, alerting, and incident response protocols for cloud workloads
• Build and maintain comprehensive runbooks and operational procedures
• Drive continuous improvement by resolving reliability, performance, and cost issues
• Optimize cloud spend through right-sizing, reserved instances, and effective cost allocation
• Collaborate with the Chief Architect on IAM, network segmentation, and compliance requirements
• Partner with DevOps teams to manage infrastructure handoffs and provide architecture guidance

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure, or DevOps roles
• Hands-on AWS expertise including EC2, ECS/ECR, Lambda, VPC, S3, and RDS
• Proven experience migrating on-premises or Azure workloads to AWS
• Strong networking fundamentals, including DNS, firewalls, and load balancing
• Experience operating production SaaS infrastructure with strict uptime SLAs
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer)
• Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages like Python or Go
• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or EKS
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
