Cloud Operations Lead

About the Company

Telenor Sovereign Cloud Norway AS is Norway's first fully Norwegian-owned and operated end-to-end cloud platform. Developed for enterprises with mission-critical systems and sensitive information, it provides high security, transparency, and scalable services under Norwegian jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the operations team for Telenor Sovereign Cloud
• Establish operational solutions in collaboration with technology partners
• Develop and operate a 24/7 NOC (Network Operations Center)
• Hold overall responsibility for operations during the pilot phase and after launch
• Collaborate closely with SOC partners to ensure synergy between operations and security
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards

Requirements

• Several years of experience leading operations teams, preferably in large environments
• Solid understanding of IT operations, platform services, and infrastructure (e.g., networking or cloud platform operations)
• Experience building teams and developing structures, processes, and culture
• Experience establishing operational processes, SLAs, and delivery models
• Experience with vendor management and cross-organizational collaboration
• Experience in environments with high requirements for stability, security, and compliance
• Knowledge of modern operational frameworks and methodologies (e.g., ITIL, DevOps)
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English (written and oral)
• Higher education in IT, technology, or similar (can be compensated by relevant experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Norwegian Security Act (Sikkerhetsloven)
