Cloud Migration Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead and support large-scale on-premises to AWS cloud migration efforts for multiple enterprise applications.
• Assess existing on-prem architectures, identify gaps, and create modernization and migration strategies.
• Design, develop, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure alignment with enterprise governance.
• Develop, refactor, and enhance applications using Java and Python to adopt cloud-native patterns.
• Architect solutions aligned with microservices, APIs, security standards, and DevOps best practices.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical leadership to engineering and migration teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, networking, and DevOps throughout the migration lifecycle.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, S3, ECS/EKS, etc.).
• Proven track record in On-Prem to Cloud Migration strategies and execution.
• Proficiency in Terraform (IaC) including modules and state management.
• Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
• Experience with Microservices and APIs (REST, event-driven architectures).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CodePipeline).
• Deep understanding of Cloud Security (IAM, KMS, security groups, and compliance).
• Knowledge of Monitoring and Observability tools (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana).
