Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Rhoda AI is building the next generation of generalist intelligent robots. We own the full robotics stack from high-performance hardware and robot systems to the infrastructure and state-of-the-art foundation world models that control our robots.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting data collection pipelines, robot operations, and model training and evaluation workflows
• Own the reliability, availability, and latency of core infrastructure including databases, data warehouses, and object storage systems
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs that expose infrastructure capabilities to internal teams and customers
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the data and compute stack
• Partner with research teams to translate model training needs into scalable solutions
• Build observability tooling including metrics, logging, and alerting
• Define and enforce infrastructure best practices around security, cost management, and scalability
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering
• Strong proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Hands-on experience managing relational and NoSQL databases in production
• Experience operating data warehouse solutions and large-scale object storage
• Solid backend development skills in Python, Go, or similar
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration
• Proven ability to debug and resolve complex production incidents

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building infrastructure for ML workloads or GPU cluster management
• Familiarity with robotics or embedded systems backends
• Experience with high-throughput data pipelines using Kafka, Flink, or Spark
• Background with time-series databases like InfluxDB or TimescaleDB
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi
