Cloud Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and managing Software Development Lifecycle tools.
• Coordinate projects for systems software, compliance management, patch management, and Platform Software Supply Chain strategy.
• Develop and execute testing strategies to validate software system functionality, performance, and security.
• Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects to ensure alignment with organizational roadmaps.
• Manage relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules.
• Provide people-care management, including hiring, performance monitoring, coaching, and career development.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while staying current with emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 7-10 years of job-related experience in systems engineering, computer programming, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of management experience.
• Proficiency with Agile Methodology.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS (IAM, networking, compute) or Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or SQL.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform (IaC).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and version control (Git, TeamForge).
• Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).
