About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and managing Software Development Lifecycle tools.
- Coordinate projects for systems software, compliance management, patch management, and Platform Software Supply Chain strategy.
- Develop and execute testing strategies to validate software system functionality, performance, and security.
- Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects to ensure alignment with organizational roadmaps.
- Manage relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules.
- Provide people-care management, including hiring, performance monitoring, coaching, and career development.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while staying current with emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 7-10 years of job-related experience in systems engineering, computer programming, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of management experience.
- Proficiency with Agile Methodology.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS (IAM, networking, compute) or Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or SQL.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform (IaC).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and version control (Git, TeamForge).
- Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE) or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).
