About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team of full-stack developers in a high-performance engineering culture.
- Drive the delivery of the product roadmap using Agile methodologies, including iteration planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Ensure compliance with FDA-regulated SDLC expectations, including requirements, design controls, and verification/validation.
- Partner with Architecture, Product Management, Cybersecurity, and Quality stakeholders to align engineering execution with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute technically to cloud solutions and optimize AWS infrastructure performance and resource utilization.
- Act as an engineering subject-matter expert during internal and external audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise software product development.
- Proven experience leading and coaching geographically distributed teams.
- Demonstrated experience working in regulated environments with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Design Controls.
- Technical expertise in cloud-based technologies (AWS preferred) and microservices/containerized architecture using Kubernetes.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment and facilitate high-stakes planning sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge or track record with Agentic AI.
- Experience in a MedTech environment with FDA 510(k) Class II exposure building Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions.
- Experience operating in safety-critical product environments.
