Cloud Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3-4 Cloud Engineers
• Own and deliver a technical workstream within Cloud Engineering
• Act as the first point of escalation for technical and delivery decisions
• Set standards for technical quality, documentation, and peer review
• Support engineer career development through regular 1-to-1s and mentoring
• Represent the Cloud Engineering function in planning forums and stakeholder discussions
• Build relationships with SRE, Data Operations, InfoSec, and other engineering teams

Requirements

• Demonstrable depth in Azure (building and operating at scale)
• Strong DevOps practice including CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automation
• Experience leading technical teams formally or informally
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing other engineers
• Ability to handle difficult people conversations regarding performance and feedback
• Strong communication skills for interacting with non-technical stakeholders
