Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS system architectures and distributed cloud-based solutions
• Ensure operational status and security of government systems (ATO)
• Review system requirements and incorporate industry best practices into design iterations
• Move data to appropriate data stores and monitor dashboard metrics including cost and computational utilization
• Create systems engineering documentation such as Version Description Documents (VDDs) and diagrams

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance
• DoD 8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+) at IAT Level II/III
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, and OpenShift
• Proficiency with Python for automation and scripting
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana and Zabbix
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer certifications
• Experience with NGA cloud-based architecture
• Experience with IC cloud architecture implementation methodologies
• Understanding of aeronautical data and datasets
• Experience with the Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) process
