Cloud Engineer - Infrastructure as Code

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage core cloud infrastructure and services on AWS and GCP, focusing on compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Develop and optimize cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to create reusable modules and blueprints.
• Automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources using Python, Go, or Bash to improve operational efficiency.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS/GKE).
• Take ownership of platform reliability, performance, and availability following Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Integrate cloud infrastructure provisioning into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated and continuous delivery.
• Enforce cloud security best practices, including the configuration of IAM roles, network security groups, and encryption.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or SRE in a mid-level or senior capacity.
• Strong hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or Google Cloud (GCP).
• Demonstrable expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, or Harness.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python and Go.
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, firewalls) and cloud IAM security.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or CloudWatch.

Preferred Qualifications

• Public cloud provider certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with serverless computing such as AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Knowledge of GitOps principles and disaster recovery strategies in multi-cloud environments.
