Cloud Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data lake architectures on AWS using S3, AWS Glue, and Lake Formation within classified (ADC) regions
• Build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest classified data from databases, APIs, streaming, and flat files
• Architect data governance frameworks for cataloging, lineage, access control, and classification/tagging
• Implement analytics and query layers with Athena, Redshift, and EMR in isolated environments
• Design cross-domain data transfer workflows with appropriate security controls
• Ensure end-to-end data protection through FIPS-validated encryption and fine-grained access control

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Experience designing scalable data lake architectures using Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Lake Formation
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines for diverse data sources
• Experience with data governance, including cataloging, lineage, and access control
• Experience developing analytics and query layers using Amazon Athena, Redshift, and EMR
• Experience with data protection, FIPS-validated encryption, and audit logging

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience within AWS classified (ADC) regions
• Experience with Cross-domain solution (CDS) and cross-domain data transfer workflow design
• Familiarity with IC data handling, classification/tagging, and compartmentalization policies
