Cloud Architect

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design of scalable and secure cloud infrastructures tailored to specific MC&FP needs
• Manage the full lifecycle of cloud environments, from deployment to maintenance and scaling
• Ensure alignment of cloud strategies with overall IT security and operational policies
• Monitor cloud environments to optimize performance and cost-efficiency
• Develop comprehensive cloud strategies including public, private, and hybrid cloud models
• Ensure all cloud systems adhere to government cybersecurity frameworks and compliance mandates
• Analyze and optimize cloud spending to ensure cost-effective solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 15+ years of progressive experience in developing, implementing, and managing cloud environments
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Cloud architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect)
• In-depth knowledge of cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Expertise in cybersecurity and compliance standards relevant to government IT
• Must meet applicable DoD 8140 / DoDM 8140.03 cyberspace workforce qualification requirements
