Cloud Architect - Azure

Responsibilities

• Design and manage enterprise cloud architectures across networking, identity, compute, and storage
• Monitor and optimize Azure environments for performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency
• Lead on-premises to Azure migration strategies including re-hosting, re-platforming, and re-architecting
• Partner with the internal Security Team to support governance, tagging standards, and policy compliance (Azure Policy, Blueprints, Defender, Purview)
• Manage post-migration roadmaps and execute solutions to resolve legacy on-premises application issues
• Provide guidance and mentorship to developers, administrators, and DevOps engineers
• Advise executives and technical leads on cloud adoption strategies, feasibility, and risk mitigation
• Ensure Azure solutions maintain compliance with regulatory and security standards such as FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and CMMC

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure
• 3+ years of experience specifically focusing on Azure cloud architecture and design
• Deep understanding of Azure infrastructure (Virtual Machines, Networking, ExpressRoute, VPN, Storage, Open AI)
• Proficiency in PaaS services including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, App Service, and AKS
• Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (Azure AD, IAM, RBAC)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
