About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coordination for designated police departments to divert individuals with mental health issues from the criminal justice system
- Develop service and support plans for individuals identified by Crisis Intervention Teams
- Assist individuals in following up with mental health providers, community supports, and dual diagnosis services
- Develop community partnerships with spiritual, social, and community-based groups
- Communicate and coordinate with CIT officers to identify potential diversion cases
- Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations for clients experiencing acute psychiatric emergencies
- Complete evaluation paperwork, safety plans, and referrals within established timelines
- Provide short-term solution-focused clinical interventions for crisis management
- Arrange for hospital admission when clinically necessary
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Clinical skills
- Experience working with juveniles and adults with mental illness or substance abuse
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
