About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical coordination for designated police departments to divert individuals with mental health issues from the criminal justice system
  • Develop service and support plans for individuals identified by Crisis Intervention Teams
  • Assist individuals in following up with mental health providers, community supports, and dual diagnosis services
  • Develop community partnerships with spiritual, social, and community-based groups
  • Communicate and coordinate with CIT officers to identify potential diversion cases
  • Conduct biopsychosocial evaluations for clients experiencing acute psychiatric emergencies
  • Complete evaluation paperwork, safety plans, and referrals within established timelines
  • Provide short-term solution-focused clinical interventions for crisis management
  • Arrange for hospital admission when clinically necessary

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Clinical skills
  • Experience working with juveniles and adults with mental illness or substance abuse
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license
