About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for research patient referrals, navigating participants through the healthcare system.
- Collaborate with the Protocol Activation office to initiate and activate new clinical trial protocols using Oncore.
- Prepare and review study tools including study binders, medication diaries, eligibility checklists, and flow sheets.
- Perform patient screening and registration, reviewing medical histories to confirm protocol eligibility.
- Facilitate the informed consent process in accordance with IRB, GCP, and institutional policies.
- Coordinate clinical assessments and patient care with investigators and ancillary departments like pathology and radiology.
- Manage patient reimbursement and track referral statistics and patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a social science or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical research experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nursing degree.
- At least one (1) year of oncology experience.
- Oncore proficiency.
- Professional certification such as ACRP (CRA) or SoCRA (CCRP).
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
- Strong organizational and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
