Clinical Trials Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for research patient referrals, navigating participants through the healthcare system.
• Collaborate with the Protocol Activation office to initiate and activate new clinical trial protocols using Oncore.
• Prepare and review study tools including study binders, medication diaries, eligibility checklists, and flow sheets.
• Perform patient screening and registration, reviewing medical histories to confirm protocol eligibility.
• Facilitate the informed consent process in accordance with IRB, GCP, and institutional policies.
• Coordinate clinical assessments and patient care with investigators and ancillary departments like pathology and radiology.
• Manage patient reimbursement and track referral statistics and patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a social science or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical research experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Nursing degree.
• At least one (1) year of oncology experience.
• Oncore proficiency.
• Professional certification such as ACRP (CRA) or SoCRA (CCRP).
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
• Strong organizational and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
