Clinical Trial Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, screening, and recruitment support for clinical research studies in accordance with international and national guidelines (TGA, ICH-GCP, and NHMRC).
• Assist with participant recruitment by designing materials and conducting pre-screening activities such as phone calls and emails.
• Draft and prepare ethics submissions, amendments, and other essential study communications.
• Design and maintain trial-specific databases, trackers, and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
• Support onsite clinical study visits, telehealth appointments, and participant follow-ups.
• Perform routine data collection, entry, and preparation for trial closure and archiving.
• Assist with scientific/lab tests and manage orders for clinical consumables and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a health or science-related field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in building professional relationships.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with databases and online systems.
• Understanding of the clinical sector and a strong awareness of confidentiality and data privacy.
