Clinical Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Corporate Clinical Application Systems to ensure availability and security
• Provide 2nd line support to the Digital Service Desk for clinical systems issues
• Maintain master files within supported systems and ensure data completeness and accuracy
• Configure system master files for local and national reporting requirements
• Diagnose problems through effective questioning of end users and log tickets with 3rd party suppliers
• Develop processes to implement changes to national policies
• Analyze collected data for quality issues and implement remedial actions

Requirements

• Degree in IT, business-related subject, or equivalent relevant experience
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Knowledge of business process documentation techniques
• Experience in application incident and problem management
• Understanding of NHS data standards and data items
• Experience with multiple information systems in a work environment
• Knowledge of healthcare applications such as PAS, EPR, and eReferrals

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of business change process analysis and design techniques
• Evidence of reflection and evaluation of knowledge and skill gaps
