About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical, technical, and product knowledge support for neurosurgery, navigation, and robotic-assisted surgery products.
- Represent Medtronic during technology-enabled procedures to provide real-time technical assistance.
- Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel (OR, Radiology, Sterile Processing, etc.) on technical matters.
- Maintain system hardware and software, including performing installs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
- Act as the primary customer liaison for repair and technical support issues.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify prospective new users for navigation and robotics.
- Provide clinical resources and "train the trainer" support to hospital staff.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of clinical, medical sales, or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; OR
- Associate’s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% within the assigned territory.
- Ability to wear a 7-9 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods in the operating room.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and standing for 8+ hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- RT and/or MRI certification.
- Prior experience with Image Guided Systems or MRI.
- Previous experience working in an operating room environment.
