Clinical Specialist, Enabling Technologies

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, technical, and product knowledge support for neurosurgery, navigation, and robotic-assisted surgery products.
• Represent Medtronic during technology-enabled procedures to provide real-time technical assistance.
• Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel (OR, Radiology, Sterile Processing, etc.) on technical matters.
• Maintain system hardware and software, including performing installations, upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
• Act as the primary customer liaison for repair and technical support issues.
• Collaborate with sales teams to identify prospective new users for navigation and robotics.
• Provide clinical resources and "train the trainer" support to hospital staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years of clinical, medical sales, or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; OR
• Associate's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time within the assigned territory.
• Ability to wear a 7-9 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods in the operating room.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and standing for 8+ hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• RT and/or MRI certification.
• Prior experience with Image Guided Systems or MRI.
• Previous experience working in an operating room environment.
