Clinical Skills Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of laboratory and clinical activities by organizing faculty, students, animals, equipment, and consumables.
• Assist with laboratory preparation, set-up, and clean-up for instructional use.
• Handle, maintain, monitor, and provide care for small and large animals used in teaching.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and IACUC guidelines, including maintaining accurate medical records for teaching animals.
• Manage inventory for clinical skills laboratory equipment and consumables, including ordering and tracking supplies.
• Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students to ensure a professional learning environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience handling small animals.

Preferred Qualifications

• A.S., A.A.S., or B.S. in Veterinary Technology.
• Familiarity with the veterinary medical field.
• Relevant experience in a higher education setting.
• Knowledge of university program goals and objectives.
