About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory services including oxygen therapy, clinical and ventilatory support, and sleep diagnostics
  • Conduct full respiratory assessments and develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians
  • Initiate and manage CPAP and Oxygen therapy, providing patient education on equipment use and maintenance
  • Set up equipment for sleep diagnostic testing in accordance with AASM guidelines and provincial requirements
  • Perform regular follow-ups to assess treatment effects, comfort, and patient compliance
  • Assess home environments for safety and perform quality control checks on respiratory equipment
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to promote products and services to prospective clients
  • Maintain accurate digital and non-electronic documentation and ensure compliance with funding processes
  • Participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule as required

Requirements

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Nurse (RN), RPN, or LPN
  • RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or CCSH (Certified Clinical Sleep Health) certification
  • Valid provincial license to practice
  • Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills and knowledge of OSA CPAP and Oxygen therapy
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a clear vulnerable persons check
  • Ability to frequently lift 50-70 lbs unassisted
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google applications, as well as Android
