About the role
Responsibilities
- Support clinical trials related to virtual cancer care, biomarker analysis, and surgical techniques
- Recruit study participants through identification, screening, and obtaining informed consent
- Coordinate patient visit schedules and execute all aspects of study visits per protocol
- Implement and coordinate data collection and source documentation in compliance with UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
- Maintain regulatory files and execute administrative tasks such as completing CRFs, logs, and trackers
- Assist in the coordination of virtual cancer clinic operations and manage communications with patients and clinical teams
- Support grant application preparation and manuscript writing through scientific writing and literature reviews
- Conduct data analysis, including organizing interviews, transcriptions, and thematic analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, oncology, or a related health/science discipline (Master's degree preferred)
- 1-2 years of relevant research experience in an academic or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Excellent scientific writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to parse complex scientific information and translate it into lay language
- Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
