About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support clinical trials related to virtual cancer care, biomarker analysis, and surgical techniques
  • Recruit study participants through identification, screening, and obtaining informed consent
  • Coordinate patient visit schedules and execute all aspects of study visits per protocol
  • Implement and coordinate data collection and source documentation in compliance with UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
  • Maintain regulatory files and execute administrative tasks such as completing CRFs, logs, and trackers
  • Assist in the coordination of virtual cancer clinic operations and manage communications with patients and clinical teams
  • Support grant application preparation and manuscript writing through scientific writing and literature reviews
  • Conduct data analysis, including organizing interviews, transcriptions, and thematic analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, oncology, or a related health/science discipline (Master's degree preferred)
  • 1-2 years of relevant research experience in an academic or healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Excellent scientific writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to parse complex scientific information and translate it into lay language
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
