About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day study activities, including study startup, participant scheduling, and monitoring visits.
- Collaborate with investigators, research nurses, and sponsors to ensure accurate execution of protocol procedures.
- Conduct participant screening, eligibility verification, and the informed consent process.
- Support clinical procedures such as vital sign collection, dermatologic assessments, and sample processing.
- Maintain accurate source documentation and complete electronic data capture entries.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and institutional policies.
- Organize and maintain essential regulatory and study documentation for audits and inspections.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience in clinical research OR experience in a clinical environment with direct interaction with patients and healthcare staff.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in dermatology research or other outpatient specialty research settings.
- Knowledge of clinical research regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH-GCP, OHRP, IRB).
- Experience supporting sponsor-initiated or investigator-initiated trials in an academic setting.
- Familiarity with clinical billing practices and workflow coordination.
- Experience with electronic data capture systems and electronic medical records.
