About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day study activities, including study startup, participant scheduling, and monitoring visits.
  • Collaborate with investigators, research nurses, and sponsors to ensure accurate execution of protocol procedures.
  • Conduct participant screening, eligibility verification, and the informed consent process.
  • Support clinical procedures such as vital sign collection, dermatologic assessments, and sample processing.
  • Maintain accurate source documentation and complete electronic data capture entries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and institutional policies.
  • Organize and maintain essential regulatory and study documentation for audits and inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience in clinical research OR experience in a clinical environment with direct interaction with patients and healthcare staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in dermatology research or other outpatient specialty research settings.
  • Knowledge of clinical research regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH-GCP, OHRP, IRB).
  • Experience supporting sponsor-initiated or investigator-initiated trials in an academic setting.
  • Familiarity with clinical billing practices and workflow coordination.
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems and electronic medical records.
