About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical research protocols for the Michael Cuccione Childhood Cancer Research Program, focusing on precision oncology for pediatric cancer and blood disorders.
  • Identify and track potential patients, reviewing and confirming eligibility based on specific protocol criteria.
  • Retrieve, interpret, and abstract complex data from health records, including reporting follow-up data on participants.
  • Manage biological sample handling and shipment in adherence to study protocols.
  • Prepare for and assist with audit and monitoring visits, including identifying source documents and creating responses to reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data capture into electronic systems and maintain organized study files and databases.
  • Act as a liaison between healthcare and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate project management and information exchange.
  • Maintain study procedure documents and perform data queries to ensure research integrity.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline or completion of a relevant technical program.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience in a clinical research setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical research professional certification through SoCRA or ACRP.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge in pediatric oncology.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
