About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate clinical research protocols for the Michael Cuccione Childhood Cancer Research Program, focusing on precision oncology for pediatric cancer and blood disorders.
- Identify and track potential patients, reviewing and confirming eligibility based on specific protocol criteria.
- Retrieve, interpret, and abstract complex data from health records, including reporting follow-up data on participants.
- Manage biological sample handling and shipment in adherence to study protocols.
- Prepare for and assist with audit and monitoring visits, including identifying source documents and creating responses to reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely data capture into electronic systems and maintain organized study files and databases.
- Act as a liaison between healthcare and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate project management and information exchange.
- Maintain study procedure documents and perform data queries to ensure research integrity.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant discipline or completion of a relevant technical program.
- Minimum of three years of related experience in a clinical research setting.
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
- Solid understanding of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical research professional certification through SoCRA or ACRP.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge in pediatric oncology.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
