About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical research protocols, including Phase I, II, and III chemotherapy and hematology studies
  • Identify potential study participants and review eligibility criteria
  • Manage patient registration and ensure accurate completion of electronic and paper data capture forms
  • Create study-specific consents, assents, and required regulatory documentation
  • Procure, safely ship, and maintain documentation for study specimens according to federal regulations
  • Submit ethics applications, amendments, and study closures via the RISe database
  • Act as a liaison between the healthcare team and laboratory teams for project management
  • Prepare for and participate in audits and study monitoring visits from regulatory bodies

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline or completion of a relevant technical program
  • Minimum of three years of related research experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and patient record systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access)
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical research professional certification (SoCRA or ACRP)
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate
  • Experience in pediatric oncology or hematology
  • Familiarity with database management programs
