About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct delegated clinical tasks and monitor research participants in accordance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) to ensure protocol and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform RN-specific duties including the preparation and administration of Investigational Products (IP) and monitoring participants for adverse reactions.
  • Execute clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, IV catheter insertion, vital signs, and ECGs.
  • Manage study documentation, including recording data in real-time, resolving data management queries, and assisting with regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate patient activities such as pre-screening candidates, obtaining informed consent, and reviewing laboratory or test results.
  • Maintain proper storage, security, and temperature control for all study medications and investigational products.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including the creation of materials and contacting potential candidates.

Requirements

  • RN license in good standing in the province of clinical trials activities.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in phlebotomy and infusion.
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and federal regulations (including Health Canada Division 5).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in clinical research coordination.
